Sagrantino Caprai in the top ten best red wines in the world
THE SPECIAL GENTLEMAN'S RANKING, CROSS-REFERENCING THE MOST AUTHORITATIVE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RATINGS, ALSO SEES ARNALDO CAPRAI'S SAGRANTINO 25 ANNI FOR THE FIRST TIME AMONG THE TOP TEN WINES OF ITALY
Which are the best Italian red wines in the world? This is revealed by Gentleman, the magazine of Class Editori, which has added to the Italian ratings those of the most authoritative international critics, Wine Spectator, Vinous (led by Italian-American Antonio Galloni) and James Suckling. In this prestigious Top 10, Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 25 Anni Arnaldo Caprai stands out, accompanied by such authoritative protagonists of Italian oenology as Sassicaia 2018 by Tenuta S. Guido, Solaia 2018 by Antinori, Masseto 2018 by Ornellaia-Frescobaldi, San Leonardo 2016 by San Leonardo, Tignanello by Antinori, Sodi di S. Niccolò 2017 by Castellare di Castellina, Baffonero 2018 by Rocca di Frassinello, Amarone 2017 by Allegrini, Bolgheri di Guado al Tasso 2018 by Antinori and Fratta 2017 by Maculan. And that's not all: Arnaldo Caprai's Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 25 years old brings home another important recognition of quality and sustainability for the Umbrian winery, taking seventh place for the first time in the superclassification of Italy's best red wines. The ranking was compiled, again by Gentleman, by cross-referencing and summing the ratings of the six most authoritative Italian wine guides, from a unique database that has been collecting ratings for over 15 years, thanks to the expertise of Cesare Pillon assisted by Emanuele Elli.
