Inextricably linked to Montefalco for at least eight hundred years, the Sagrantino vine, together with the wine produced from it, is a sign of the strong identity of a territory and a community. The vine shapes the landscape even inside the 13th-century walls of Montefalco, which still surround tiny gardens where Sagrantino vines grow.
