"Peace and Drink': the Arnaldo Caprai winery t-shirts

Federico II, San Francesco, Benozzo Gozzoli and Santa Chiara: four personalities who have marked the history of Montefalco and who now become testimonials of their territory in a line of T-Shirts that the Arnaldo Caprai Winery wanted to dedicate to all wine enthusiasts, thus renewing its relationship with art and culture with a new project that tells and enhances history in a contemporary key.

'Peace and Drink' is the phrase that runs through the four t-shirts made with illustrations by Bruna Pallantethe artist and designer who 'illustrates colours'.

'Peace and Drink' takes up the famous Franciscan greeting in an ironic and modern key. A gesture, that of greeting, which accompanies us countless times in our days, connecting us with people and leading us to share moments and experiences.

Peace and Good...a Well which, ironically, becomes Drinking. Because wine, besides being a masterpiece of nature and human skill, is the symbol par excellence of conviviality: it has the power to unite people, even the most distant, creating harmony. It is a bearer of peace and joy; it is a promoter of harmony; it is a companion for journeys and unforgettable moments.

Like wine, what we wear accompanies us through our days and, what's more, it tells about us: who we are, where we come from, our instances, our values. Or, it bears witness to experiences, places and encounters over time.

The four project t-shirts 'Peace and Drink' tell of the magical place that is Montefalco, depicting historical figures inextricably linked to it: Frederick IIwho, driven by his passion for falconry, gave his name to the town of Montefalco; St Francisfounder of the Franciscan order, who performed some of his well-known prodigies around Montefalco; Benozzo Gozzoli, who frescoed the apse of the Church of San Francesco in Montefalco, now a museum, with the marvellous cycle of frescoes dedicated to the life of the saint and St Clare of Montefalcoone of the greatest mystics of the Middle Ages and to whom the fresco cycle in the Chapel of the Cross is dedicated.

Four very different characters, but with one thing in common: their bond with Montefalco. Each one has given value and prestige to this territory, contributing to its uniqueness. These T-shirts represent a fresh, young and simple way to enhance and celebrate it and, at the same time, pass on its history and preciousness.

Under the aegis of its founder, Marco Caprai, the Caprai wine cellar in recent years has given life to noble projects (above all Caprai4Love) through which it has celebrated the history and cultural heritage of Montefalco, focusing on the indissoluble link between the territory and the peculiarities that qualify it and make it unique and precious.

'Peace and Drink' is in this vein and aims to tell and fix in the memory the history of Montefalco in a modern and youthful way, combining art, culture, style and glamour with an informal garment such as the T-shirt, which thus becomes an ambassador of a place, a witness to its history and, above all, an invitation to learn and explore.
