AMONG THE VINEYARDS OF THE ARNALDO CAPRAI WINERY WITH GIANFRANCO VISSANI'S DISHES

The picnic becomes star-studded thanks to the partnership between the Arnaldo Caprai winery and star chef Gianfranco Vissani, who for the summer of 2022 signs for the winery headed by Marco Caprai a proposal for dejeuner sur l'herbe, or perhaps it would be better to say déjeuner dans les vignes, designed ad hoc. News that arrives just in time to celebrate World Picnic Day on 18 June.

The gourmet picnic by Casa Vissani for Arnaldo Caprai will consist of: cinnamon-flavoured pappa al pomodoro, onion omelette with papaya sauce and Cuvée Secrète reduction, coratella with passion fruit, cylinders of fresh pasta stuffed with lamb ragout and Christmas Tea grapes, peposo di scottona al Sagrantino with orange potatoes, lemon Card Natura, and durum wheat pagnottina. All enclosed in practical jars capable of preserving the flavour, easy and safe to transport, but, at the same time, glamorous and refined, for a stylish and unique picnic. All accompanied by a welcome aperitif and two of the company's signature wines, Grecante Colli Martina Grechetto and Valdimaggio Montefalco Sagrantino, to be enjoyed amidst the vineyards or on the beautiful Belvedere Terrace, nestled between the rows of vines and in a panoramic position in the shade of a centuries-old oak tree.

Alongside this novelty, the traditional Arnaldo Caprai picnic proposal is also confirmed for 2022one of the first in Italy to offer the possibility of combining a simple visit to the winery with a picnic on its estate. The picnic in the vineyard, As usual, reservations can be made no later than the day before, because everything is prepared express the morning of the visit by resident chef Salvatore Denaro: omelettes, selected cold meats and cheeses, handmade pasta, soups, salads, desserts, freshly baked bread to be enjoyed with the extra virgin olive oil produced by the company and, of course, the wine.

Whichever type of picnic you choose, everyone will receive blankets, pillows, glasses and a basket, filled with everything they need, and then they can go in search of their favourite corner where they can spend not only lunch but also the entire afternoon, in total relaxation, until sunset, among meadows, lakes, vineyards and the magnificent landscape of Montefalco in the background.
